I think this food processor is discontinued but there are a couple of things that I would have liked to know before I bought this. The manual says that it is dishwasher safe but we stuck it in the dishwasher and it warped the lid so that it wouldn't go on anymore. I called customer care who blamed it on the dishwasher but let off when I pointed out that the manual says that it is dishwasher safe. They don't stock replacement parts so they had to be ordered from [...] on my dime and then they reimbursed me. It worked out really quickly but I wish they could have just sent me a replacement.
I love this food processor. It's not too tall to fit on top of my cabinet where it's always handy. The variable speed is what really sold me on it, I think. It has all the features you would want on a food processor. It is no harder to clean than any other. I was surprised at the juicer that comes with it and haven't tried it yet, but sounds good if making lemonade, etc. Braun is a good brand. It is no more expensive than many of the other well known brands. I am very happy with it. It is exactly what I wanted.
