This filter lasts in our Maytag Ice20 refrigerator exactly one year. It is easy to change. It does make the water taste better, so about $32 per year isn't too much to pay for something we use all the time. I've noticed that this same filter comes with different part numbers and names under the general title of PuriClean II. You may pay more or less to get the same thing, so shop around.

This filter was a snap to install, and once I did my water pressure from the dispenser was back to normal. If you've
got a refrigerator that uses one of these filters and the water's been coming out slow then it's probably time for a new filter. One word of advice: use a big water pitcher for the first use of the dispenser after the filter change - the pressure has to readjust and it will spit out a few huge blasts of water that will overwhelm your normal water glass. After the couple of big blasts though, you get constant good pressure, better than you remembered was even possible after the gradual slow down with your old filter.

I have an Amana fridge with a water filter. It was time for a new pack of filters. I put the model number of my old filters in the search engine and I was referred to the Maytag filters and of course a new model number. I hesitated but thought I can always return them if it's not correct. The new filters fit and work great!. It was an easy purchase. Thanks! It is suggested you change your water filters every 3 months. With just two people in the household we change ours every 6-7 months.

Omega J8006 Nutrition Center Commercial Masticating Juicer, Black and Chrome

I have rated the 8006 at five stars because of its efficiency, ease of use and quality of materials. The newly designed auger is a translucent black material that GE calls ULTEM. The warranty has been increase from 10 years to 15 years. The juicer probably functions the same as the model 8005 and 8002 so all of the previous reviews apply to the 8006. The power switch is located at the lower back of the juicer and allows the auger to be reversed if something would become lodged in the mastication extraction tube. The Omega auger is patented and has a two stage screen for greater juice output compared to other brands. For example, five medium sized HoneyCrisp apples produced a full quart of wonderful clear pulp-free juice. The apple juice does not turn brown nearly as fast as the juice from centrifugal type juicers due to the lower oxidation from the 80 rpm auger. There is very little foam, and the included screen can be used to filter the final product, if desired. The Omega 8006 does a great job with carrots but with this juicer as with any juicer, the smaller the items, the greater the juice extraction efficiency. I need to point out that the feed tube is only about 1.5" in diameter. There lies the problem with large tube centrifugal juicers. They waste about 20% of the juice and this is significant when you count the price of organic produce. I use a little cutting board to slice items while the juicer pulls them in almost by itself. It works very well. I juice greens including wheat grass and parsley, which can adhere to the spinning basket of a centrifugal juicer and cause the basket to be out of balance. This happened to me with a JuiceLady JL-500 and it cracked the top of the juicer before I could turn it off. If you do not want to cut the produce into smaller pieces then this is not the juicer for you. I enjoy using the 8006 and I have yet to see a bad review of an Omega single auger juicer. Of all the juicers made, this is definitely in the top ten and some websites rate it as No. 1. I can recommend this Omega juicer with no reservations.

Dyson DC07/DC14 Clutch Assembly #900252-04 - Genuine

After 5 years of good service, my DC07 brush just stopped spinning. At first, I thought, no problem, just buy a new belt. Not with the Dyson. After a lot of research, when I found that you had to replace this clutch assembly, I seriously thought about just buying a new vac, but figured - wth - for (...) or so I'll give it a shot. There is a beautiful step-by-step instruction procedure on an Internet site which specializes in giving repair advice on Dyson vacs. The whole process took about 40 minutes, not counting the time I needed to go out and get a T-15 Torx screwdriver, which is absolutely essential to the process (make sure you have one of these before you start. Just be patient, follow the instructions, and you can do it.

My problem was caused by accumulated cat hair which the person (unnamed) who used the Dyson didn't take the time to simply clean out of the brushbar after each use. This built-up mess eventually causes the brush to be harder to turn, which heats up the belts and stretches them to the point that they don't have enough friction to spin the brushbar anymore. Probably could have gotten away with just replacing the belts, but you have to take the clutch out to do that, and for the additional few dollars it makes sense to replace the clutch as well. It was also a good opportunity to thoroughly clean all of the parts which had to be removed.In retrospect, I'm glad I did this complicated, but not at all difficult task, as I now have what amounts to a good-as-new vac for (...). As long as you clean the filters as directed and exercise common sense in maintaining this machine, I can't see why it won't last for a long while.

Hunter 23727 Summer Breeze 52-Inch 5-Blade Ceiling Fan

Purchased two Hunter 25517 Summer Breeze ceiling fans as replacements for existing fans in the master bedroom and living room. The first fan installed was in the bedroom. It went together exactly according to the instructions and upon completion operated flawlessly. The second fan was a different story. Assembing the fan and hanging it from the ceiling went perfect. When installing the control mechanism to the fan I discovered the securing mounting holes had not been threaded. This was after I broke off a 6-32 screw in the mounting disk. From there, the install became very interesting and challenging! I am very disappointed in the quality control of this fan and hope it is not reflective in other Hunter products!

While this is a great product (have Hunter fans throughout my home)....this particular item was nothing but problems with the parts. This was a new install so I had an electrician out to run the electric and install the fan in a bedroom. He got ready to put it up and went through the entire box only to find no hardware was included. I had to call Hunter and what a fiasco that was. The phone numbers listed on their instruction manual/parts list were not correct. Once I found a phone number that would get me through to a "live" person, I waiting for over 30 minutes only to get disconnected, had to call again and wait! When I got a person on the line, he was not very customer friendly; however he did get the parts ordered and shipped. Except when the electrician came back....there were two sets of screws missing which meant I had to go through the telephone frustration all over again. And yes....it was as bad as the first time. Again, when I got a live person....they informed me that the one set of screws were on back order......a lot of good that does a person with a fan and no blades! They sent me a substitute screw type. Had to have the electrician come out a 3rd time. Finally.....a month later I have my fan running.

GE MWF Refrigerator Water Filter, 1-Pack

I ordered the MWF filter only to receive the International model. My main thought is internationally, they dont have the same safety guidelines as we do in the US. When I received the order, it was nothing more than the product box with a mail sticker on it. The box was covered in typical shipping tape. I also noticed there were no instructions or product details inside the box either. I know this feedback form is for products only but others thinking of ordering this should be hesitant since so many have had problems recently. I have emailed the company about receiving a full refund, as well as reporting them to Amazon. It is unlawful to advertise one thing and ship another... borderline on fraud. I would not use any product that's labeled "For International Use Only". I smell counterfeit here.

I bought this griddle over a year ago. I love it. I can cook an entire pack of bacon all at one time, six large pancakes, or four plate size pancakes, 12 pieces of french toast, you get the picture. As far as I know, the largest griddle available. I use frequently, have had no problems of any kind, including the non-stick surface which shows no sign of wear. This is a big improvement over griddles and other non-stick cookware I've owned before. Yes, it does have hot and cold spots, IF you don't let it pre-heat adequately. It's big, give it 10-15 minutes to pre-heat. Yes, you have to get creative to find a suitable storage space. I fortunately have a perfect cabinet (tall, deep and narrow) in my kitchen, although if I didn't I'd probably have to use the broom closet, coat closet, or some other unusual space. It is also a handful when washing at the sink, since it's too big to fit in the sink. However, it's hard to knock it for being too big when that's the whole idea. If you want something easier to store and wash, you'll be cooking longer and in batches. If you have a houseful of kids, you'll love this griddle. Put it under your bed if you have to.

I purchased this griddle because the electric frypan we had was simply too small. While trying to flip a few pancakes in it, half of it didn't stay in!! The first thing I cooked with this griddle was therefore pancakes. Instead of the 4 batches it used to take, I did it in 1. Flipping the pancakes was mess-free and effortless with the nonstick surface. I have since tried eggs and also bacon. I love the tilt function with the grease trap. It definitely helps keep splattering down. The one thing you will need is space to use it as well as store it. I set it on our stovetop while in use, which works for me.

My 2 year old bottom freezer refrigerator started to have the classic symptoms, not always cooling, one second clicking sound when not cooling. Some times the refrigerator cooled but not the freezer part. Sometimes neither part cooled while the fridge started to click. (Clicking is from relay noise).I ordered this universal board for my fridge from Amazon.com. I took advantage of the FREE shipping. It arrived quickly in a timely fashion. It was a sealed GE factory board and not a brand X board. First class! The board came with clear instructions to be used for your particular refrigerator.

In my case, I removed the small rear panel on the back side of the fridge to expose the board. You then unplug the fridge, pull out the connector plugs from the board, remove the ground wire under a screw, remove the board off of 4 plastic standoff spacers, install the new board onto the spacers and then plug in all the wire connectors onto the new board. My new board had many more parts on it then the old board. You cannot plug the wrong connector into a wrong socket. Each connector has a different number of pins on it so any one plug will fit into only one socket.

In some cases a wire needs to be cut on one of the plugs per the instructions, but for my model this was not neccessary. Also, for BOTTOM FREEZER refridgerators, you need to take the lower panel off exposing the compressor and check if you have a start capacitor on your fridge. (The diagram shows you where the start capacitor would be located if you have one). If you have one, you need to cut a ground wire off a plug. In my case no wire needed to be cut as I had no start capacitor on my fridge. In short all I had to do was to swap out boards on the fridge and then put the panels back in place with screws.

I read review after review in searching for a juicer (Santa's Christmas present to me). I am new to juicing so it was really the only thing I had to go by. I have been using my juicer for about a month now and I absolutely love it! I can't imagine it being any easier to use. I don't much like peeling oranges before I can juice them whole. I keep wondering if a citrus juicer would be better for oranges. Either way, I still love my Breville. Even if I invest in another small citrus juicer I won't feel disappointed with this one. It's quiet, it's fast, and cleanup is simple and fast. There are only four pieces that you have to wash out when you're finished juicing, five if you don't use a plastic baggie in the pulp container. The juice is fantasic. I was a little wary of how it might taste because my mom bought a juicer a few years ago and the juice it produced was awful. Also, if you are like me and you don't care for pulp in your oj or any other juice then this juicer is the one for you. There is almost NO pulp in any kind of juice that I make. What little bit of texture that is there (depending on what kind of juice you make) is hardly noticeable. My 7 yo. also loves all of the juices that I make, which speaks volumes if you have kids. Anyway, we could neither one be happier with this juicer and I'm glad I spent the money on this one because it was worth every penny. I contemplated getting a less expensive one since I was new to juicing but eventually concluded that spending $300 and loving my juicer was better than spending $150 on one and being disappointed - I made the right choice.

Waste King L-8000 Legend Series 1.0-Horsepower Continuous Feed Waste Disposer

I replaced a piece of ISE Badger junk with this unit. When the ISE seized, the shaft seal went out, and it leaked internally. So I had no dishwasher unless I wanted to do the bucket brigade from below the disposer to the other side of the sink. Galvanized wetted parts plainly aren't the way to go for this service.

I had pretty well decided on the WK 3300 while researching / looking locally and then tried Amazon, finding it much cheaper. Since the WK 8000 was even cheaper, at the top of the Consumers Reports list, and Aneheim Mfg. offers a lifetime warranty (original purchaser), it was an obvious choice.

So I went the WK Direct / Cantex Trading route, with no problems. I ordered early on a Sunday morning; it arrived Wed. afternoon; and was running that nite. The paperwork says it came from Austin, TX. Included are both handwritten and printed notes that urge you to leave feedback at Amazon and contact them directly if you can't give 5 stars in every category; their staff receives bonus based on the feedback. Maybe when they shipped that customer the defective unit in early Sept., somebody at Cantex noticed the review, and has taken action to avoid a repeat.

EZ-mount: I was sure to get this, because I wanted the removable rubber baffle. (How else do you get the grunge off that thing?) It should be a simpler install for most people. Only concern is that the vibration will loosen the plastic locknut, but I guess the mfr. has looked at this. Anyway, it's accessible to tighten if it happens. Rubber gasket under the sink flange instead of messing with the plumber's putty - yea! Two-position locking ring (hold the unit up but let it swivel / locked in place) - yea!. The instructions implore you many times to be sure to get the lower cushion mount in right. If the locking ring would slide higher - up over the flange threads - it would really help with this feat.
